We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Protection Analyst for a three-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity to support a busy data protection function, providing expert advice and practical guidance across a range of privacy, compliance and information governance activities.

The successful candidate will advise stakeholders on the UK GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018, and related privacy requirements. You will support the delivery of data protection impact assessments, legitimate interest assessments, records of processing activities and data sharing agreements, ensuring documentation is accurate, proportionate and appropriately maintained.

You will also assist with the management of individual rights requests, including access, erasure and rectification requests, coordinating responses and ensuring statutory deadlines are met. The role will involve supporting the investigation and reporting of personal data breaches, escalating risks where necessary and helping to identify suitable remedial actions.

Working collaboratively with legal, compliance, information security, technology and operational teams, you will provide clear, pragmatic advice on privacy risks and controls. You may also contribute to policy reviews, internal audits, privacy training, compliance monitoring and the preparation of management information and regulatory reports.

We are looking for someone with substantial experience in a data protection or privacy role, ideally within a complex or regulated environment. You should have a strong working knowledge of UK data protection legislation, excellent analytical and written communication skills, and the confidence to engage with stakeholders at all levels.

Experience of using privacy management systems, maintaining data inventories and handling data subject rights requests would be advantageous. You will be organised, detail-focused and able to prioritise effectively while working to tight deadlines. A professional data protection or privacy qualification, such as CIPP/E, CIPM or an equivalent, is desirable.

This contract requires someone who can make an immediate contribution, work independently and deliver high-quality outcomes within a short timeframe. Flexible working arrangements may be available, with occasional travel or attendance at meetings required.
