Applicants should have substantial experience in cybersecurity architecture, enterprise security or a closely related discipline, together with a strong understanding of cloud, network, application, identity and data security. Experience of designing solutions across hybrid or multi-cloud environments, conducting risk assessments and applying frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001 or SABSA is highly desirable. Relevant professional qualifications, such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP or an equivalent, would be advantageous.

As a senior technical leader, you will mentor architects and engineers, promote consistent practices, and represent cybersecurity in governance forums and transformation programmes.

The successful candidate will bring substantial experience in cybersecurity architecture, security engineering, or a closely related discipline, together with a strong understanding of enterprise IT and modern cloud platforms. Experience designing solutions across hybrid environments, integrating security into DevSecOps practices, and working with recognised security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, CIS, or SABSA is highly desirable. Relevant professional certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or equivalent, will be valued. You should be comfortable communicating complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences, influencing senior stakeholders, managing competing priorities, and making sound risk-based decisions. This role will provide technical leadership across cyber security architecture, engineering and assurance, helping to protect critical systems, applications, data and infrastructure. You will work closely with technology, risk, compliance and business stakeholders to translate security requirements into practical, scalable outcomes.

Your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining security architecture principles, reference architectures, standards and patterns; assessing the security implications of new technologies, platforms and transformation initiatives; and providing expert guidance across cloud, network, identity, endpoint, application and data security. You will lead security design reviews, threat modelling, risk assessments and technical assurance activities, ensuring that vulnerabilities and control gaps are identified, prioritised and addressed. The role will also contribute to security strategy, roadmaps, policies and governance, while supporting the selection and implementation of security tools and services.

You will act as a technical authority and mentor, promoting secure-by-design practices and helping to build capability across engineering and delivery teams. The successful candidate will have substantial experience in cyber security architecture, security engineering or a similar senior technical role, with a strong understanding of enterprise security principles, risk management and relevant industry frameworks. Experience across cloud security, zero trust, identity and access management, secure software development, network protection and incident response is highly desirable. Strong communication and influencing skills are essential, together with the ability to explain complex technical issues clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Professional security certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, SABSA, CCSP or equivalent experience, would be advantageous.
