We are seeking a System Software Engineer to develop and maintain security-focused software for advanced embedded computing platforms. You will work at the intersection of operating systems, low-level firmware and hardware security, helping to deliver robust solutions for devices used in demanding automotive, mobile, edge and high-performance applications.
Your responsibilities will include designing, implementing and testing system software for security-critical components, including secure boot, trusted execution environments, firmware authentication, key management, device identity and platform protection. You will contribute to software across the boot chain and operating system layers, investigate complex defects, and improve the reliability, performance and maintainability of existing products.
You will collaborate closely with hardware, firmware, operating system, platform and validation engineers to define security requirements and deliver integrated solutions. The role will involve reviewing technical designs, analysing threats and vulnerabilities, supporting security assessments, developing automated tests, and diagnosing issues using debugging and profiling tools. You may also contribute to technical documentation, coding standards and continuous improvements to development processes.
Applicants should have strong programming experience in C and/or C++, together with a sound understanding of embedded systems, operating systems and software development practices. Experience with Linux, bootloaders, device drivers, firmware, secure boot or trusted computing technologies would be highly valuable. Knowledge of cryptographic principles, hardware security features, memory protection, authentication protocols or vulnerability analysis is desirable.
You should be comfortable working close to hardware, reading technical specifications and debugging problems across multiple software layers. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment. A degree in computer science, electrical engineering or a related subject, or equivalent professional experience, is expected.
This is an opportunity to help shape the security architecture of sophisticated computing platforms while working on technically challenging problems with real-world impact.

We are seeking a System Software Engineer to develop and maintain security-focused software for advanced embedded computing platforms. You will work on low-level system components that help protect devices throughout their lifecycle, from secure boot and trusted execution through to platform update and recovery mechanisms.
Your responsibilities will include designing, implementing and testing security software in C and C++, with a strong focus on reliability, performance and maintainability. You will contribute to firmware and operating system integration, develop features for hardware-backed security services, investigate complex system issues and support the delivery of robust solutions across multiple product generations.
You will collaborate with engineers working across hardware, firmware, operating systems and validation to define interfaces, review technical designs and resolve issues efficiently. The role will also involve analysing security requirements, assessing potential vulnerabilities, participating in code reviews, improving development and test processes, and producing clear technical documentation.
We are looking for experience in systems or embedded software development, ideally within a security-critical or resource-constrained environment. You should have strong C or C++ programming skills and a solid understanding of operating system concepts, computer architecture, concurrency, memory management and debugging. Familiarity with secure boot, trusted execution environments, cryptography, key management, hardware security modules or device authentication would be advantageous.
Experience with embedded Linux, firmware development, bootloaders, device drivers, build systems and source control is desirable. An understanding of security development lifecycles, threat modelling and vulnerability mitigation would also be beneficial. You should be comfortable working with hardware and software debugging tools, interpreting technical specifications and investigating problems at the system level.
The successful candidate will be a structured problem-solver who communicates clearly and works effectively in a collaborative, international environment. A degree in computer science, computer engineering, electronic engineering or a related discipline, together with relevant professional experience, is preferred.
