We are seeking a Senior Security Architect – Platform to define and deliver secure, resilient architecture across critical technology platforms. This is an influential role for an experienced security professional who can balance strategic thinking with practical implementation, helping teams build security into products, services and infrastructure from the outset.
You will establish and maintain security architecture principles, patterns and standards across cloud, hybrid and on-premises environments. Working closely with engineering, infrastructure, platform, risk and compliance teams, you will assess designs, identify vulnerabilities and recommend proportionate controls that support business objectives without compromising usability or delivery.
Your responsibilities will include leading threat modelling and security reviews, contributing to platform roadmaps, and providing expert guidance on identity and access management, network security, data protection, encryption, secrets management, vulnerability management and secure software development. You will also help shape security-by-design practices, define target architectures and support the introduction of repeatable guardrails, automation and monitoring.
The successful candidate will have significant experience in security architecture, platform engineering or a closely related discipline, with a strong understanding of modern cloud technologies and enterprise infrastructure. You will be comfortable working across areas such as containerisation, APIs, operating systems, networks and infrastructure as code. Experience of recognised security frameworks, architecture methodologies and relevant regulatory requirements would be advantageous.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are essential. You will be able to explain complex technical risks clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, influence decisions at all levels and build trusted relationships across diverse teams. A pragmatic, collaborative approach and the ability to prioritise effectively in a changing environment are equally important.
This is an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the security maturity, reliability and scalability of a broad technology estate while supporting innovation through thoughtful, proportionate architecture.

We are seeking a Senior Security Architect – Platforms to define and deliver secure, resilient technology foundations across cloud, infrastructure, identity, networks, and enterprise platforms. In this role, you will shape security architecture standards, reference designs, and roadmaps that support business priorities while protecting systems, data, and services from evolving threats. You will work closely with engineering, infrastructure, product, risk, and governance teams to embed security into the design and delivery lifecycle.
Your responsibilities will include assessing existing platforms, identifying security gaps, and designing practical solutions that improve resilience, scalability, and compliance. You will provide architectural guidance for cloud adoption, platform modernisation, privileged access management, secrets management, endpoint security, network segmentation, encryption, monitoring, and vulnerability management. You will also review proposed solutions, lead threat modelling and security design reviews, contribute to technical standards and policies, and ensure that security controls are measurable, consistently implemented, and aligned with recognised frameworks.
The successful candidate will bring substantial experience in security architecture, platform engineering, infrastructure security, or a closely related discipline, together with a strong understanding of public cloud technologies, hybrid environments, operating systems, networks, identity and access management, and secure software delivery. Experience with architecture methodologies, zero-trust principles, automation, and security tooling is highly desirable. You will be comfortable translating complex risks into clear recommendations for both technical and non-technical audiences, influencing decisions without direct authority, and balancing security with usability, cost, and delivery objectives. Relevant professional certifications in cloud, security, architecture, or risk management would be advantageous.
