We are seeking a proactive SOC Analyst for a six-month fixed-term contract to support the monitoring, detection and response to cyber security threats. Working as part of a collaborative security operations function, you will help protect critical systems, applications and data by investigating suspicious activity and ensuring that incidents are identified and managed promptly.

Key responsibilities will include monitoring security alerts from SIEM, endpoint detection and response, network monitoring and other security tools; triaging and investigating potential incidents; analysing logs, indicators of compromise and user activity; and escalating confirmed or high-risk events in line with established procedures. You will support incident response activities, maintain accurate case records and timelines, contribute to post-incident reviews, and help develop practical recommendations to reduce the likelihood of recurrence. The role will also involve threat hunting, vulnerability and exposure awareness, maintaining security documentation, and supporting regular reporting on operational performance and emerging risks.

Applicants should have experience in a security operations, incident response or cyber monitoring role, with a sound understanding of security principles, attack techniques and common indicators of compromise. Experience using SIEM platforms, endpoint security tools, ticketing systems and threat intelligence sources is highly desirable. You should be confident interpreting technical data, prioritising competing alerts and communicating findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. A methodical approach, strong attention to detail and the ability to remain calm when handling time-sensitive incidents are essential. Relevant professional qualifications or certifications in cyber security, networking or information technology would be advantageous. This is an excellent opportunity for an analyst who is keen to contribute immediately, develop their practical experience and help strengthen a mature security monitoring capability during a six-month assignment.
