Reference: k6su571f0crghio6n15e

We are seeking a Privacy Security Engineer to help design, build and operate privacy-preserving solutions for applied artificial intelligence. You will work at the intersection of privacy engineering, information security, data protection and machine learning, helping teams develop products and services that use data responsibly and securely. The role involves translating privacy and regulatory requirements into practical technical controls across the full AI development lifecycle, from data collection and preparation through to model deployment, monitoring and retirement.

Your responsibilities will include conducting privacy and security assessments for AI systems; identifying risks relating to personal data, sensitive information, model outputs and unintended disclosure; and recommending proportionate mitigations. You will develop and promote technical standards for data minimisation, access control, retention, encryption, pseudonymisation, anonymisation, secure computation and privacy-enhancing technologies. You will also support threat modelling, privacy impact assessments, security reviews and incident investigations, while helping establish effective testing and monitoring for issues such as re-identification, inference attacks, data leakage, prompt injection and adversarial misuse. Working closely with engineers, data scientists, legal specialists, policy teams and product managers, you will communicate complex risks clearly and support the delivery of secure, compliant and trustworthy AI capabilities.

Applicants should have professional experience in privacy engineering, application security, data protection, security architecture or a related discipline, together with a strong understanding of privacy principles and information security practices. Experience with machine learning systems, large language models, data governance or cloud security would be highly advantageous. You should be comfortable reviewing technical designs and code, writing clear guidance and risk assessments, and influencing stakeholders in a collaborative environment. Knowledge of relevant data protection legislation, privacy-enhancing technologies, secure software development and AI security frameworks is desirable. We value curiosity, sound judgement and the ability to balance innovation with responsible data use. Relevant professional, academic or equivalent practical experience will be considered.
