We are seeking a Security Engineer – Endpoint & Data Protection to strengthen the security of endpoint environments, protect sensitive information and support the ongoing improvement of cyber defence capabilities. In this role, you will design, implement and maintain security controls across laptops, workstations, mobile devices, servers and cloud-connected endpoints. You will help ensure that systems are securely configured, monitored and maintained in line with established policies, regulatory expectations and recognised security frameworks.
Your responsibilities will include managing and tuning endpoint protection, detection and response technologies; developing and maintaining data loss prevention controls; investigating security alerts and incidents; and supporting vulnerability management, patching and remediation activities. You will analyse security events, identify potential threats, document findings and coordinate appropriate containment and recovery actions. The role will also involve creating technical standards, improving security procedures, contributing to risk assessments and supporting audits. You will work closely with infrastructure, cloud, applications, service desk and compliance teams to embed practical security measures throughout the technology environment.
Applicants should have proven experience in endpoint security, data protection, systems administration or a closely related cybersecurity discipline. You will bring practical knowledge of endpoint detection and response, anti-malware platforms, device management, encryption, identity and access controls, vulnerability management and data loss prevention principles. Experience with security monitoring, incident response, scripting or automation, and cloud-based security services would be advantageous. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, together with the ability to explain technical risks clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Relevant professional certifications, such as those covering security, cloud, endpoint or data protection, are desirable. You should be organised, collaborative and committed to continuous improvement, with a proactive approach to identifying and reducing security risks.
