Senior Manager, Associate Director, Cyber Incident Response Advisory and Incident Management
We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager or Associate Director to lead cyber incident response advisory and incident management activities within a complex, fast-paced environment. This is a high-impact role for a confident cyber security professional who can provide strategic direction while remaining comfortable supporting the management of significant incidents.
You will lead the development and continuous improvement of incident response frameworks, playbooks, processes and governance arrangements. Working closely with technology, risk, legal, compliance, communications and business stakeholders, you will ensure the organisation is prepared to identify, contain, investigate and recover from cyber incidents effectively.
Key responsibilities will include managing cyber incident response activities from initial assessment through to resolution and post-incident review; providing clear advice to senior stakeholders during high-severity events; coordinating internal teams and external partners; and ensuring decisions, actions and communications are appropriately documented. You will also oversee lessons-learned exercises, track remediation activity and provide meaningful reporting on incident trends, response capability and associated risks.
As a trusted adviser, you will support the delivery of incident response exercises, crisis simulations and awareness sessions, helping to strengthen operational resilience across the organisation. You may also contribute to cyber risk assessments, regulatory reporting, third-party assurance and the ongoing development of security operations and threat response capabilities.
Applicants should have substantial experience in cyber incident response, security operations, digital forensics, technology risk or a closely related discipline, together with demonstrable experience managing complex or high-impact incidents. You will have a strong understanding of incident response methodologies, threat intelligence, cyber crisis management and relevant regulatory expectations.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are essential, as is the ability to remain calm, structured and decisive under pressure. Professional qualifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, GCIH or equivalent are desirable. Experience of leading teams, influencing senior decision-makers and working across international or highly regulated environments would be advantageous.
