An experienced Information Security Consultant is required for a day-rate contract to support the secure design, implementation and ongoing improvement of CRM platforms and associated business processes. The successful contractor will provide specialist security advice across the CRM environment, helping to ensure that systems, integrations and data handling practices meet organisational security standards and regulatory obligations.

Key responsibilities will include assessing CRM architecture, configurations and integrations to identify security risks and control weaknesses. You will advise on identity and access management, role-based permissions, privileged access, authentication, encryption, data protection and secure information-sharing practices. You will also contribute to threat modelling, security reviews, risk assessments and the remediation of identified vulnerabilities.

The role will involve working closely with technology, delivery, data protection, risk and business stakeholders to embed security throughout the CRM change lifecycle. You will review technical and functional requirements, provide security input into solution designs, assess third-party connections and APIs, and support the development of appropriate security controls, policies and procedures. Where required, you will assist with incident investigations, audit activities, compliance evidence and the resolution of security findings.

Applicants should have proven experience in information security consultancy, ideally within CRM, customer data or enterprise application environments. Strong knowledge of access control models, secure application and integration design, data privacy principles, vulnerability management and security risk assessment is essential. Experience of major CRM platforms, cloud services, APIs and identity providers would be advantageous.

You will be expected to communicate complex security matters clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, produce concise documentation and make pragmatic recommendations that support business objectives. Relevant professional certifications or demonstrable equivalent experience will be welcomed. This is a contract opportunity suited to a consultant who can work independently, manage competing priorities and make an immediate contribution in a fast-paced environment.
