We are seeking a Contract Security Specialist to support the effective management of security requirements across a portfolio of contracts and supplier relationships. This role will help ensure that contractual obligations are clearly defined, consistently applied and aligned with relevant organisational policies, regulatory expectations and recognised security standards.

Working with procurement, legal, delivery and operational teams, you will review and develop security schedules, clauses and supporting documentation. You will assess supplier security capabilities, identify potential risks and recommend appropriate controls, assurance activities and remediation plans. The role will also involve monitoring compliance throughout the contract lifecycle, from initial tender and onboarding through to renewal, change and exit.

Key responsibilities will include maintaining accurate records of security requirements, conducting risk-based reviews, supporting due diligence and evaluating evidence such as policies, certifications, audit reports and testing results. You will track actions and exceptions, challenge incomplete or ineffective responses and provide clear updates on risk, progress and outstanding obligations. Where incidents or control failures occur, you will support investigation, escalation and follow-up to help ensure lessons are identified and corrective actions are completed.

You will build constructive working relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers and assurance partners, translating technical and regulatory requirements into practical contractual commitments. You may also contribute to the development of processes, templates, guidance and reporting that improve consistency and strengthen third-party security management.

Applicants should have experience in contract security, supplier assurance, information security, risk management or a related discipline. A sound understanding of security controls, data protection, governance and risk principles is essential, together with the ability to interpret contractual language and assess evidence critically. Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail and confidence managing competing priorities are required. Relevant professional qualifications or experience working with recognised security frameworks would be advantageous.
