We are seeking a Threat Modeller to help identify, assess and reduce security risks across advanced artificial intelligence systems, research platforms and supporting infrastructure. You will work closely with engineering, research, product, privacy and security teams to understand how systems are designed, how they may be misused, and where controls can be strengthened. Your work will contribute to the safe development and deployment of complex technologies in a rapidly evolving threat landscape.

In this role, you will create and maintain threat models for applications, services, data flows, machine learning pipelines and operational processes. You will facilitate structured threat-modelling workshops, define trust boundaries and attack surfaces, assess threats using appropriate methodologies, and document security assumptions, risks and mitigations. You will translate technical findings into clear, prioritised recommendations for both specialist and non-specialist audiences, while tracking remediation through to completion. You may also support security architecture reviews, abuse-case analysis, incident preparedness, red-team exercises and the development of reusable threat-modelling standards, tooling and guidance.

The successful candidate will have experience in threat modelling, security architecture, application security, infrastructure security or a closely related discipline. You should be comfortable analysing distributed systems, APIs, cloud environments, identity and access controls, data protection measures and software development lifecycles. Familiarity with frameworks such as STRIDE, attack trees, MITRE ATT&CK or equivalent approaches is desirable, as is experience assessing risks associated with machine learning, model-enabled applications or emerging technologies. Strong communication and facilitation skills are essential, along with sound judgement, attention to detail and the ability to balance security, usability and delivery needs. A collaborative mindset, curiosity and the confidence to challenge assumptions constructively will be highly valued.
