Vice President, Threat and Vulnerability Management Engineer
We are seeking a Vice President, Threat and Vulnerability Management Engineer to lead the strategy, architecture, and execution of enterprise-wide cyber risk reduction initiatives. This senior role will combine technical leadership with programme ownership, overseeing the identification, assessment, prioritisation, and remediation of vulnerabilities across infrastructure, applications, cloud environments, endpoints, and emerging technologies. The successful candidate will establish a risk-based vulnerability management framework aligned with business objectives, regulatory expectations, and industry best practice.
Responsibilities will include directing vulnerability discovery and assessment activities, improving scanning and validation capabilities, and developing effective remediation processes with technology and business teams. You will define risk scoring and prioritisation models, manage exception and compensating-control processes, and provide clear reporting to senior leadership and relevant governance forums. The role will also lead threat-informed vulnerability analysis, exploitability assessments, attack-surface management, penetration-testing coordination, and the integration of threat intelligence into remediation decisions. You will set appropriate standards, metrics, service levels, and control requirements while ensuring accurate data, automation, and continuous improvement across the programme.
Applicants should bring extensive experience in threat and vulnerability management, cyber security engineering, or a closely related discipline, including significant experience leading complex, global programmes. Strong knowledge of vulnerability assessment tools, remediation workflows, cloud and application security, endpoint technologies, network architecture, and common security frameworks such as NIST, CIS, and ISO 27001 is expected. Experience translating technical risk into concise business recommendations and influencing senior stakeholders is essential. Relevant professional certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, GIAC, or equivalent, are desirable. The ideal candidate will be an accomplished people leader and strategic thinker who can operate effectively in a fast-changing environment, challenge existing practices constructively, and build strong partnerships across engineering, operations, risk, audit, and executive teams.
