We are seeking a NOC Engineer to provide first- and second-line operational support across network and security services. Working within a 24/7 network operations environment, you will monitor infrastructure, identify incidents and performance issues, and take appropriate action to maintain service availability, resilience and security. You will be responsible for responding to alerts, investigating faults, escalating complex issues and keeping stakeholders informed throughout the incident lifecycle.
Your duties will include monitoring network devices, connectivity, firewalls, VPNs, servers and associated security technologies; troubleshooting routing, switching, wireless and access-related issues; and carrying out approved configuration changes in line with documented procedures. You will accurately record incidents, requests, changes and technical findings within service management systems, ensuring that records are clear, complete and updated within agreed service levels. You will also contribute to root-cause investigations, recurring incident reviews, maintenance activities and the continual improvement of monitoring, documentation and operational processes. Collaboration with infrastructure, security, service desk and third-party teams will be an important part of the role.
Applicants should have experience in a NOC, network support or infrastructure operations role, with a sound understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, switching, firewalls and VPN technologies. Familiarity with network monitoring tools, ticketing platforms, incident management and security principles is expected. Relevant certifications or practical knowledge of technologies such as Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Microsoft or equivalent platforms would be advantageous. You should be analytical, methodical and customer-focused, with the ability to prioritise competing incidents and remain calm under pressure. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, together with a willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends and public holidays where required.
