Researcher, Online Threat Intelligence
We are seeking a Researcher, Online Threat Intelligence to investigate emerging online threats, monitor hostile activity, and produce clear, actionable intelligence for internal stakeholders. The successful candidate will analyse open-source information across websites, social media, forums, messaging platforms, dark web sources, and other relevant channels. Key responsibilities include conducting structured online research; tracking threat actors, campaigns, narratives, and indicators of compromise; maintaining accurate research notes and intelligence records; and preparing written reports, briefings, alerts, and threat assessments. Strong analytical and written communication skills are essential, along with the ability to prioritise competing tasks and explain complex findings to both technical and non-technical audiences. Familiarity with OSINT techniques, advanced search methods, social media analysis, geolocation, link analysis, or dark web research is highly desirable. Knowledge of relevant privacy, legal, and ethical considerations is expected. Additional language skills, technical aptitude, and experience with research, visualisation, or case-management tools would be advantageous. Curiosity, resilience, attention to detail, and a commitment to responsible research are central to success in this position.
