We are seeking an experienced Staff Security Architect to provide technical leadership across the design, development and operation of secure technology services. You will define and champion security architecture principles, ensuring that systems, applications, infrastructure and data platforms are resilient, proportionate and aligned with business objectives. Working closely with engineering, product, governance and operational teams, you will influence decisions throughout the technology lifecycle, from early discovery and design through to implementation and continuous improvement.

Your responsibilities will include developing security architectures, reference patterns and technical standards; reviewing proposed solutions and identifying security risks, dependencies and opportunities for improvement; and advising on controls across cloud, on-premises and hybrid environments. You will lead threat modelling, security design reviews and architecture assessments, translating complex risks into clear, actionable recommendations. You will also contribute to the development of security strategies, policies and roadmaps, support risk acceptance decisions, and help ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and industry requirements.

We are looking for someone with substantial experience in security architecture, enterprise technology or a closely related discipline, together with a strong understanding of modern security principles and practices. You will bring knowledge of cloud security, identity and access management, network security, application security, data protection, cryptography and secure software development. Experience working with architecture frameworks, threat modelling methodologies and security tooling is highly desirable. Excellent communication and influencing skills are essential, as you will be expected to engage confidently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, explain complex issues clearly and build consensus across diverse teams. Relevant professional certifications or equivalent practical experience would be advantageous.
