We are seeking a Senior Specialist Field Engineer – Security to provide expert technical support, installation and maintenance services across a range of security systems and customer sites. The successful candidate will act as a senior point of contact for complex field-based activities, ensuring that systems are delivered, tested and maintained to a high standard. This role will involve regular travel, working independently and collaboratively to support operational requirements and customer expectations.

Key responsibilities will include surveying sites, planning and completing installations, configuring and commissioning security solutions, and carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance. You will diagnose faults, undertake repairs and upgrades, and provide clear technical reports and service documentation. The role will also involve supporting project delivery, assisting with technical specifications, mentoring less experienced engineers and liaising with customers, contractors and internal teams. You will be expected to promote safe working practices, follow relevant procedures and ensure all work complies with applicable legislation, industry standards and agreed service levels.

Applicants should have substantial experience in a field engineering or systems integration environment, with strong knowledge of electronic security technologies such as access control, intruder detection, CCTV, video management systems and associated networks. Experience with IP-based systems, system commissioning, fault-finding and technical documentation is essential. Relevant technical qualifications or equivalent practical experience are desirable, along with an understanding of health and safety requirements and industry best practice. You will need excellent communication and problem-solving skills, a methodical approach and the confidence to manage priorities in demanding environments. A full driving licence and flexibility to travel, work occasional out-of-hours shifts or respond to urgent service requirements may also be required.
