Threat Hunter

Reference: nvfd4nn8w4d4v6g28leb

We are seeking an experienced Threat Hunter to identify, investigate, and disrupt advanced cyber threats across a complex technology environment. You will proactively search for indicators of compromise, suspicious behaviours, and emerging attack techniques that may evade traditional security controls. Working closely with security operations, incident response, engineering, and threat intelligence teams, you will turn hypotheses and intelligence into practical detection and response improvements.

Your responsibilities will include developing and executing threat-hunting exercises across endpoint, network, identity, cloud, and application telemetry; analysing large and varied datasets to uncover anomalous activity; investigating potential attacks and determining scope, impact, and root cause; and documenting findings in clear, actionable reports. You will create, test, and refine detection logic, queries, analytics, and playbooks using relevant security monitoring and investigation platforms. You will also contribute to incident response activities, support the investigation of complex alerts, track adversary tactics and techniques, and share findings with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Where appropriate, you will help automate repetitive investigative tasks and improve the quality, coverage, and reliability of security monitoring.

You should have demonstrable experience in threat hunting, security operations, digital forensics, incident response, or a closely related discipline. Strong knowledge of common attack frameworks, intrusion methods, malware behaviours, identity attacks, and endpoint and cloud security principles is essential. Experience with SIEM, EDR, network monitoring, threat intelligence, and security analytics tools is expected, together with confidence using query languages and scripting technologies such as Python or PowerShell. You will be analytical, curious, and methodical, with the ability to challenge assumptions, communicate complex findings clearly, and work effectively under pressure. Relevant professional certifications or equivalent practical experience are welcome.
