We are seeking an experienced Associate Director, Cyber Threat Intelligence to lead the development and delivery of a strategic threat intelligence capability. This is a senior role for a collaborative security professional who can translate complex and evolving cyber threats into clear, actionable insight for technical teams, business leaders and risk stakeholders.
You will set the direction for cyber threat intelligence, establishing priorities, operating processes and standards that support informed decision-making. You will oversee the collection, analysis and dissemination of intelligence relating to threat actors, campaigns, vulnerabilities, geopolitical developments and emerging attack techniques. Key responsibilities will include leading intelligence assessments and reporting, developing executive-level briefings, maintaining effective intelligence requirements, and ensuring that relevant findings are shared with the right audiences. You will contribute to threat-led risk assessments, incident investigations, exercises and major security initiatives, while identifying opportunities to improve the use of automation, data sources and analytical tooling.
You will also manage relationships with trusted external partners, industry groups and relevant authorities, sharing information appropriately and representing the organisation in professional forums. The role may include leading and developing a small team, setting objectives, supporting capability growth and fostering a culture of curiosity, sound judgement and continuous improvement.
Applicants should have substantial experience in cyber threat intelligence, security analysis, incident response or a closely related discipline, with a strong understanding of threat actors, attack lifecycles, intelligence methodologies and the wider cyber risk landscape. Experience of presenting complex information to senior audiences and influencing decisions across multiple functions is essential. Familiarity with frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, recognised intelligence standards and security technologies will be advantageous.
You will be an analytical and confident communicator, able to balance strategic thinking with practical delivery. A relevant professional qualification or degree is desirable, alongside a demonstrable commitment to ethical handling of sensitive information and ongoing professional development.
