Threat Intellience Analyst
We are seeking a Threat Intelligence Analyst to identify, assess and communicate cyber threats that may affect the organisation, its people, systems and wider operating environment. This is an opportunity to join a collaborative security function where your analysis will support informed decision-making, strengthen resilience and help protect critical information and services.
You will monitor a broad range of intelligence sources, including open-source reporting, dark web activity, security research, industry communities and trusted partners. You will investigate emerging threats, track threat actors and campaigns, assess indicators of compromise, and produce timely intelligence on risks relevant to the organisation. Your work will help security teams prioritise activity and respond effectively to developing incidents.
Key responsibilities will include collecting, validating and analysing threat data; developing and maintaining threat actor, malware and campaign profiles; creating tactical, operational and strategic intelligence reports; and producing concise briefings for technical and non-technical audiences. You will contribute to incident response, threat hunting and vulnerability management by providing context, attribution and actionable recommendations. You may also support the development of intelligence requirements, reporting standards, workflows and automated analysis capabilities.
The successful candidate will have experience in cyber threat intelligence, security analysis, incident response or a closely related discipline. You should understand common attack techniques, tactics and procedures, as well as frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK. Familiarity with indicators of compromise, malware analysis, vulnerability intelligence, structured analytic techniques and intelligence platforms would be advantageous. Experience using scripting, query languages or security tooling to enrich and analyse data is also desirable.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with the ability to explain complex threats clearly and objectively. You will be curious, methodical and comfortable working with incomplete or conflicting information. The role requires sound judgement, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining high standards of confidentiality. Relevant professional qualifications or demonstrable practical experience will be considered.
