We are seeking a Senior Consultant – IAM Security Engineer to provide expert guidance and hands-on technical leadership across identity and access management initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced security professional to support the design, implementation and continuous improvement of secure, scalable identity services within complex enterprise environments.

You will lead and contribute to IAM consulting engagements, working closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements, assess existing controls and develop practical security solutions. Responsibilities will include designing identity governance models, access management processes and privileged access strategies, as well as supporting the implementation of authentication, authorisation and role-based access controls. You will also help define technical standards, operating procedures and security roadmaps.

The role will involve advising on IAM architecture, conducting maturity assessments and identifying opportunities to improve security, compliance and operational efficiency. You will support solution delivery across areas such as single sign-on, multi-factor authentication, joiner-mover-leaver processes, access reviews, segregation of duties and privileged identity management. You may also be required to oversee technical workstreams, review deliverables, manage risks and provide clear recommendations to senior stakeholders.

The successful candidate will have substantial experience in identity and access management, information security or a related consulting environment. You should have a strong understanding of IAM principles, security frameworks and risk management, together with practical experience of implementing or integrating IAM technologies. Knowledge of cloud identity platforms, directory services, federation protocols such as SAML and OAuth, and privileged access solutions would be highly advantageous.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are essential, as you will work with technical and non-technical audiences at all levels. You should be comfortable working independently, leading client discussions and mentoring less experienced colleagues. Relevant professional qualifications in information security, architecture or IAM are desirable, alongside a proactive approach, sound judgement and a commitment to delivering high-quality, secure outcomes.
