Researcher, Cyber Threat Intelligence
We are seeking a Researcher, Cyber Threat Intelligence to investigate emerging cyber threats, assess their potential impact and produce clear, actionable intelligence for technical and non-technical audiences. The successful candidate will help strengthen understanding of the threat landscape by monitoring developments across open, closed and specialist sources, identifying relevant trends and connecting disparate pieces of information.
You will research threat actors, campaigns, malware, vulnerabilities and related indicators, assessing the credibility and significance of collected information. Responsibilities will include analysing technical and contextual data, maintaining accurate intelligence records, developing profiles and timelines, and producing written assessments, briefings and regular updates. You will also support the creation and refinement of indicators of compromise, contribute to threat hunting activity and provide intelligence to assist incident response, detection engineering and risk management.
The role involves working closely with colleagues across security operations, vulnerability management, engineering and wider business teams. You will be expected to communicate complex findings clearly, explain confidence levels and assumptions, and make practical recommendations that support informed decision-making. You may also contribute to intelligence requirements, internal knowledge-sharing sessions, process improvement and the development of repeatable research methods.
Applicants should have experience in cyber threat intelligence, cybersecurity research, security operations, incident response or a closely related discipline. You will need strong analytical and written communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to evaluate information critically. Familiarity with threat intelligence frameworks, adversary tactics and techniques, malware analysis, digital investigations, vulnerability research or security tooling would be advantageous.
We are looking for someone who is curious, methodical and comfortable working with incomplete or changing information. The ability to manage competing priorities, collaborate effectively and present findings to varied audiences is essential. Relevant professional certifications or formal training in cybersecurity, intelligence analysis, computer science or a related subject would be welcomed, although demonstrable practical experience will also be considered.
