You will lead the architecture and ongoing development of proxy, secure web gateway, cloud access security broker and SSE capabilities. Responsibilities will include defining technical standards, developing engineering roadmaps, improving traffic inspection and access controls, and ensuring that security services support evolving business and technology requirements. You will also oversee the integration of identity, endpoint, network and cloud platforms to deliver consistent security policies.

The role will involve managing major changes and complex incidents, carrying out root-cause analysis, and driving improvements in availability, performance, monitoring and automation. You will create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures and disaster recovery plans, while ensuring solutions meet relevant governance, risk and compliance expectations. You will also work closely with security operations, architecture, service management and infrastructure teams, providing guidance and mentoring to engineers and contributing to technical decisions at a senior level.

Applicants should have substantial experience designing and supporting enterprise proxy or SSE environments, including secure web gateways, remote access, content filtering, TLS inspection, data loss prevention and policy enforcement. Strong knowledge of networking principles, DNS, HTTP/S, routing, firewalls and authentication protocols is essential, along with experience across cloud and hybrid infrastructure. Familiarity with leading proxy or SSE platforms, infrastructure-as-code, scripting and monitoring tools would be highly beneficial.

You will be an analytical and collaborative problem-solver with excellent communication skills and the confidence to influence stakeholders. Experience leading technical projects, suppliers or engineering teams is desirable. Relevant professional certifications in networking, cloud or cyber security would be advantageous, alongside a demonstrable commitment to secure-by-design engineering and continuous improvement.
