Associate Director - Cyber M&A - Infrastructure Sector
We are seeking an experienced Associate Director to lead cyber-focused mergers and acquisitions activity within the infrastructure sector. This is a senior role for a commercially minded cybersecurity professional who can combine technical expertise, transaction experience and strong stakeholder management. You will advise clients and senior decision-makers throughout the deal lifecycle, helping them understand cyber risk, technology resilience and the value implications of infrastructure investments.
Your responsibilities will include leading cybersecurity due diligence across acquisitions, divestments, joint ventures and strategic investments; assessing cyber maturity, technology architecture, operational resilience, regulatory exposure and third-party risk; and identifying issues that may affect valuation, deal structure or post-transaction integration. You will manage multiple workstreams, develop clear and commercially relevant reports, present findings to executive audiences and support clients in defining practical remediation and value-creation plans. You will also contribute to business development by developing client relationships, preparing proposals, identifying market opportunities and supporting the growth of cyber M&A services across infrastructure subsectors such as energy, transport, utilities, telecommunications and data centres.
Applicants should have significant experience in cybersecurity consulting, technology risk, transaction services, M&A due diligence or a closely related field, with a strong understanding of infrastructure environments and the risks associated with critical services. A track record of managing complex engagements, leading teams and communicating confidently with C-suite stakeholders is essential. You should be comfortable translating technical findings into clear commercial advice and working effectively across legal, financial, operational and technology disciplines. Relevant professional certifications or qualifications in cybersecurity, information technology, risk management or finance are desirable. The role requires excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills, sound judgement, commercial awareness and the ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced, transaction-driven environment.
