Senior Security Researcher
We are seeking a Senior Security Researcher to lead the investigation of emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities and attack techniques. You will conduct in-depth research across operating systems, applications, cloud environments and connected technologies, translating complex technical findings into clear, actionable intelligence. The role offers the opportunity to influence security strategy and help strengthen the resilience of products, platforms and services.
Your responsibilities will include identifying and validating vulnerabilities, developing proof-of-concept exploits in controlled environments, analysing malware and attacker behaviour, and monitoring developments across the threat landscape. You will contribute to threat intelligence reports, technical advisories and incident investigations, while working closely with engineering, security operations and risk teams to support effective remediation. You may also present research to internal stakeholders and external technical audiences.
The successful candidate will have substantial experience in security research, vulnerability analysis, penetration testing, reverse engineering or a closely related discipline. Strong programming skills in one or more languages such as Python, C, C++, Rust or Go are required, alongside a sound understanding of operating system internals, networking protocols, web technologies and common attack methodologies. Experience with debugging, disassembly, fuzzing, malware analysis or cloud security would be advantageous.
You will be a curious and analytical professional who can work independently while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, as is the ability to explain technical risks to both specialist and non-specialist audiences. Relevant professional certifications, published research, conference presentations or contributions to open-source security projects are welcome but not essential.
This role provides scope to shape research priorities, develop innovative security tooling and continually expand your technical expertise. A commitment to responsible disclosure, ethical research and continuous learning is expected. Flexible working arrangements and support for professional development are available, subject to role and location requirements.
