Embedded Security Intelligence Analyst - Mid Level
We are seeking an Embedded Security Intelligence Analyst to support the identification, assessment and management of cyber security threats affecting embedded systems, connected devices and associated technologies. Working at mid level, you will analyse technical and contextual intelligence to help strengthen security throughout the product and system lifecycle. You will work with engineering, software development, vulnerability management and wider security teams to translate complex findings into clear, practical recommendations.
Your responsibilities will include monitoring and evaluating threat intelligence from open, commercial and technical sources; investigating vulnerabilities, exploits and emerging attack techniques relevant to embedded platforms; and producing concise intelligence reports, briefings and risk assessments for technical and non-technical audiences. You will contribute to vulnerability triage, threat modelling and security reviews, assess the potential impact of findings, and support the development of mitigations and remediation plans. You will also help maintain intelligence requirements, attack-pattern libraries and relevant security documentation, while identifying opportunities to improve analytical processes and tooling.
Applicants should have experience in cyber security analysis, threat intelligence, incident response, vulnerability research or a closely related discipline, together with a sound understanding of embedded technologies, operating systems, networks and common attack methodologies. Familiarity with areas such as reverse engineering, firmware analysis, secure development, software supply-chain risks, penetration testing or industrial and connected-device security would be advantageous. You should be comfortable researching independently, handling competing priorities and communicating evidence-based conclusions clearly. Strong analytical and written communication skills are essential, along with an inquisitive approach and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across technical and business functions. Relevant professional qualifications or demonstrable practical experience will be considered positively.
