We are seeking an experienced Lead Cybersecurity Architect to define and deliver secure, resilient technology solutions across a complex and evolving environment. This is a senior role for a strategic thinker who can translate business objectives into practical security architectures, while providing expert guidance on risk, technology and regulatory requirements.

You will lead the development and maintenance of enterprise security architecture principles, standards, patterns and reference models. Working closely with infrastructure, cloud, software engineering, data and business teams, you will ensure that security is embedded throughout the design, delivery and operation of systems and services.

Key responsibilities will include assessing emerging technologies and proposed solutions, identifying security risks and design weaknesses, and recommending proportionate controls. You will provide architectural assurance for major programmes, support threat modelling and security reviews, and contribute to the development of roadmaps that improve organisational resilience. You will also help shape policies, technical standards and governance processes, ensuring alignment with recognised security frameworks and applicable legislation.

As a technical leader, you will mentor security professionals, influence senior stakeholders and communicate complex risks clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. You will champion secure-by-design principles and build effective relationships across delivery, operations, risk and compliance teams.

Applicants should have substantial experience in cybersecurity architecture, enterprise security or a closely related discipline, together with a strong understanding of cloud, network, application, identity and data security. Experience of designing solutions across hybrid or multi-cloud environments, conducting risk assessments and applying frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001 or SABSA is highly desirable. Relevant professional qualifications, such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP or an equivalent, would be advantageous.

You will be analytical, pragmatic and confident working in a collaborative environment. The ability to balance security with usability, cost and delivery priorities is essential, as is a commitment to continuous improvement and maintaining current knowledge of the threat landscape.
