Senior Security Architect - SecOps and Vulnerability Management
We are seeking a Senior Security Architect to lead the design and continuous improvement of SecOps and vulnerability management capabilities across a complex technology environment. This is a strategic and hands-on role for an experienced security professional who can translate business and technology risks into practical, resilient security solutions. You will define architecture principles, security standards and operating models that strengthen the organisation’s ability to identify, assess, prioritise and respond to cyber threats.
Key responsibilities will include developing and maintaining security architecture for security operations, vulnerability management, threat detection, incident response and security monitoring. You will evaluate existing controls, identify gaps and recommend improvements across infrastructure, cloud, applications, networks and endpoints. Working closely with engineering, risk, compliance and operational teams, you will ensure that security requirements are embedded into technology programmes and change initiatives. You will also support the selection and integration of security tools, improve vulnerability assessment and remediation processes, and establish meaningful metrics and reporting for senior stakeholders. The role will involve contributing to incident investigations, threat modelling, security reviews and the development of policies, procedures and technical roadmaps.
The successful candidate will have substantial experience in security architecture, SecOps and vulnerability management, ideally within a large or highly regulated environment. You should have strong knowledge of security frameworks, risk management principles, vulnerability assessment methodologies, security information and event management, endpoint protection, identity security and cloud security. Experience with automation, threat intelligence, penetration testing processes and secure engineering practices would be advantageous. Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, SABSA, GIAC or equivalent are desirable. You will be a confident communicator who can explain complex risks clearly, influence stakeholders at all levels and balance strategic thinking with practical delivery. A proactive, analytical and collaborative approach is essential, along with a strong commitment to continual improvement and effective cyber risk reduction.
