Senior Technical Program Manager, International Security & Privacy Compliance

Reference: b9o25leht050l528vsk8

We are seeking a Senior Technical Programme Manager to lead complex, international initiatives across security, privacy and regulatory compliance. This is a highly visible role requiring the ability to translate evolving legal and regulatory obligations into practical technical programmes, while working with senior stakeholders across engineering, product, legal, risk and operations.

You will own the planning and delivery of multi-year compliance programmes spanning multiple jurisdictions, ensuring that key milestones, dependencies, risks and outcomes are clearly defined and actively managed. You will establish effective governance, provide clear executive reporting and coordinate teams to deliver sustainable improvements to security and privacy controls, processes and technology.

Responsibilities will include interpreting new and changing international requirements; assessing their impact on products, systems and business processes; developing implementation roadmaps; and overseeing delivery from discovery through to operational adoption. You will manage cross-functional working groups, facilitate prioritisation and decision-making, and ensure that compliance initiatives are supported by appropriate documentation, evidence and audit readiness.

You will also identify delivery risks and control gaps, develop mitigation plans and promote consistent programme management practices. The role will involve partnering with technical teams to assess architecture and implementation options, challenging assumptions constructively and ensuring that solutions are proportionate, scalable and aligned with organisational risk appetite.

The successful candidate will have significant experience leading technical programmes in security, privacy, governance, risk or compliance, ideally within a complex international environment. You will be comfortable working with regulations and standards such as data protection legislation, security assurance frameworks and industry-specific requirements. Strong understanding of software development, cloud services, information security and data governance is highly desirable.

You will bring excellent stakeholder management, written and verbal communication, and problem-solving skills. The ability to influence without direct authority, manage ambiguity and explain complex technical or regulatory matters to varied audiences is essential. Experience managing competing priorities across distributed teams, together with a structured, pragmatic and delivery-focused approach, will be valued.
