We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Consultant to provide expert advice and practical support across a range of information security and technology initiatives. You will assess security requirements, contribute to risk assessments and support the design and implementation of secure solutions. Responsibilities will include reviewing security architectures, policies and processes; advising on compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards; and providing clear, pragmatic recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.

The successful candidate will support security testing, vulnerability management and incident response activities, helping to investigate issues and coordinate appropriate remediation. You may also contribute to security awareness programmes, supplier assessments, audit preparation and the development of business continuity and disaster recovery arrangements. Accurate documentation and the production of concise reports will be an important part of the role.

Applicants should have demonstrable experience in a cyber security, information security or technology risk consultancy position. You will have a sound understanding of security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST or CIS, together with knowledge of risk management, identity and access management, network security, cloud environments and data protection principles.

Relevant professional qualifications, such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, ISO 27001 or equivalent experience, would be advantageous. Strong analytical, communication and influencing skills are essential, as is the ability to manage competing priorities and explain complex security matters in a clear and accessible way. A proactive approach, commercial awareness and a commitment to continual professional development are also expected.

This is an opportunity to join a collaborative environment where your expertise will help shape effective security practices and protect critical systems and information. Flexible working arrangements may be available, alongside opportunities for learning, professional development and progression.
