Responsibilities will include monitoring security alerts and events, investigating suspicious activity, supporting incident response and maintaining accurate records of security investigations. You will analyse information from security monitoring tools, endpoint protection platforms, vulnerability scanners and other relevant sources, escalating incidents where appropriate and assisting with remedial action.

You will also contribute to vulnerability management activities, including reviewing scan results, prioritising risks and working with technical teams to track issues through to resolution. The role will involve supporting security assessments, access reviews, policy updates and the development of practical recommendations to strengthen the organisation’s security posture.

The successful candidate will have experience in a cyber security, security operations or related IT role, with a sound understanding of security principles, threat detection and incident management. Familiarity with SIEM platforms, endpoint detection and response tools, vulnerability management, firewalls, identity and access management, and common network protocols would be advantageous.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, together with the ability to interpret technical information and communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. You should be organised, inquisitive and comfortable managing competing priorities while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.

Relevant qualifications or certifications, such as CompTIA Security+, Cyber Security apprenticeships or equivalent practical experience, are welcomed. Knowledge of recognised security frameworks and data protection requirements would also be beneficial. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your expertise in a collaborative environment while making a meaningful contribution to cyber resilience.
