We are seeking skilled Network Security Professionals to help protect critical systems, infrastructure and data against evolving cyber threats. You will work as part of a collaborative security function, supporting the design, implementation and continuous improvement of robust network security controls across a complex technical environment.
Your responsibilities will include monitoring network activity, investigating alerts and security incidents, and responding promptly to suspected or confirmed threats. You will configure and maintain firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, secure gateways, virtual private networks and other protective technologies. You will also undertake vulnerability assessments, review system logs, analyse traffic patterns and recommend practical improvements to reduce risk.
The role will involve contributing to security architecture and network segmentation projects, supporting access-control policies, and ensuring that infrastructure remains aligned with recognised security standards and internal procedures. You will document incidents and technical changes, prepare clear reports for stakeholders, and work closely with infrastructure, cloud, applications and service delivery teams. Participation in security testing, audit activity, disaster recovery exercises and occasional out-of-hours incident response may also be required.
Applicants should have proven experience in network security, cyber security operations or a closely related discipline, together with strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, DNS, authentication and common attack methods. Practical experience with firewalls, SIEM platforms, vulnerability scanners and endpoint or network monitoring tools is essential. Familiarity with cloud security, zero-trust principles, encryption, security frameworks and automation or scripting would be advantageous.
You should be analytical, methodical and confident when making decisions in time-sensitive situations. Excellent communication skills are required, with the ability to explain technical risks clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Relevant professional certifications or equivalent practical experience will be welcomed. In return, you will have the opportunity to work on varied security challenges, develop your expertise and contribute to the protection and resilience of important digital services.
