Cyber Analyst in CYBER DEFENCE CENTRE

Working as part of a collaborative security operations team, you will help protect critical systems, networks and information by identifying suspicious activity, assessing potential risks and coordinating appropriate responses. Your responsibilities will include monitoring security alerts and event data from a range of tools, investigating suspected incidents and conducting initial triage to determine impact and severity. Applicants should have practical experience in cyber security operations, incident response, threat monitoring or a related discipline, together with a good understanding of security principles, attack methods and risk management. Familiarity with SIEM platforms, endpoint detection and response tools, firewalls, intrusion detection systems and common operating systems is desirable. Knowledge of networking, scripting, vulnerability management and recognised security frameworks will be advantageous. Relevant professional certifications or equivalent hands-on experience are welcomed. You should demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritise under pressure. The successful candidate will be expected to handle sensitive information professionally, work constructively within a team and maintain a commitment to ongoing learning as the cyber threat landscape evolves.
