The successful candidate will work closely with technical teams and business stakeholders to identify risks, respond to incidents and promote strong security practices.

Key responsibilities will include monitoring security alerts, analysing suspicious activity and supporting the investigation of potential breaches. You will assist with incident response, vulnerability management and threat intelligence activities, ensuring that issues are assessed, documented and escalated appropriately. The role will also involve reviewing logs, investigating indicators of compromise and contributing to post-incident analysis and recommendations.

You will help maintain and improve security processes, procedures and technical controls. This may include supporting vulnerability scanning, coordinating remediation activity, assisting with security testing and contributing to risk assessments. You will also produce clear reports and management information, maintain accurate records and help ensure that security policies and regulatory requirements are understood and followed.

Applicants should have experience in a cybersecurity, security operations or related technical role, with a sound understanding of security monitoring, incident management, vulnerability assessment and common attack techniques. Familiarity with SIEM platforms, endpoint security tools, firewalls, identity and access management, cloud technologies and recognised security frameworks would be advantageous.

We are looking for someone analytical, methodical and confident in communicating technical information to both specialist and non-specialist audiences. You should be comfortable prioritising competing tasks, working collaboratively and maintaining a calm, investigative approach during security incidents. Relevant professional certifications or qualifications, such as CompTIA Security+, SSCP, GSEC or equivalent experience, would be welcomed.

This is an opportunity to contribute to a proactive security function while developing your expertise in a supportive and continuously improving environment. Applications are welcomed from candidates who can demonstrate practical problem-solving skills, sound judgement and a genuine commitment to protecting information and technology.
