Cybersecurity Analyst
We are seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to help protect critical systems, data and services against an evolving range of cyber threats. This role will support the monitoring, investigation and improvement of security controls across a varied technology environment. You will work closely with colleagues across technology and the wider business to identify risks, respond to incidents and promote strong security practices.
Your responsibilities will include monitoring security alerts and events, investigating suspicious activity, triaging incidents and supporting timely remediation. You will analyse logs and security data from tools such as SIEM, endpoint detection and response, vulnerability management and network monitoring platforms. You will also contribute to threat hunting, malware analysis and the preparation of clear incident reports, ensuring that findings and recommended actions are communicated effectively.
The role will involve supporting regular vulnerability assessments, tracking remediation activity and helping to maintain secure configurations across infrastructure, applications and cloud services. You will contribute to risk assessments, security reviews, audit activity and the development of policies, procedures and technical guidance. You may also assist with security awareness initiatives and provide practical advice to colleagues on managing cyber risk.
Applicants should have experience in a cybersecurity, security operations or related technical role, together with a sound understanding of information security principles, incident response and vulnerability management. Familiarity with security monitoring tools, operating systems, networking concepts, identity and access management, and cloud technologies is desirable. Relevant certifications, such as CompTIA Security+, GIAC, Microsoft or equivalent qualifications, would be advantageous.
You will be analytical, organised and comfortable working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, as is the ability to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment. A curious mindset, sound judgement and commitment to continuous learning will help you succeed in this position. The role may require participation in an out-of-hours incident response rota.
