We are seeking a Senior Cloud Incident Response Consultant to lead the investigation, containment and resolution of complex security incidents across cloud environments. This is a senior technical role for an experienced incident responder who can work confidently under pressure, provide clear direction during critical events and help organisations strengthen their resilience against future threats.

You will lead end-to-end incident response activities, from initial triage and scoping through containment, eradication, recovery and post-incident review. Working across cloud platforms, you will analyse identity and access activity, network traffic, workloads, endpoints, logs and other sources of forensic evidence. You will develop and execute response playbooks, coordinate technical stakeholders and ensure that actions are accurately documented and aligned with agreed service levels.

The role will involve advising clients and internal teams during high-severity incidents, communicating complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences, and producing concise investigation reports with practical recommendations. You will also contribute to threat hunting, detection engineering, tabletop exercises, readiness assessments and the continuous improvement of security operations. Supporting and mentoring less experienced consultants will be an important part of the position.

Applicants should have substantial experience in cyber incident response, digital forensics or a closely related discipline, with strong practical knowledge of cloud security and common attack techniques. Experience with at least one major cloud platform, cloud-native logging and monitoring services, security information and event management tools, endpoint detection and response, and identity platforms is expected. Familiarity with scripting, automation and forensic analysis techniques would be advantageous.

You should be analytical, organised and confident making decisions with incomplete information. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, as is the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-moving environment. Relevant professional certifications in incident response, cloud security or digital forensics are desirable. The role may require participation in an on-call rota and occasional travel.
