Manager, Technical Incident Responder, Recovery and Resilience
We are seeking a Manager, Technical Incident Responder, Recovery and Resilience to lead the response to significant technology incidents and strengthen the organisation’s ability to recover from disruption. This is a high-impact role for an experienced incident management professional who can provide calm, decisive leadership in complex and time-critical situations.
You will manage the end-to-end response to major incidents, coordinating technical teams, suppliers and senior stakeholders to restore services safely and efficiently. Responsibilities will include assessing business and customer impact, establishing incident command, setting priorities, maintaining clear communications and ensuring that actions, decisions and risks are accurately recorded. You will also oversee post-incident reviews, identify root causes and track improvements through to completion.
A key part of the role will be developing and maintaining recovery and resilience capabilities. You will support the design, testing and continuous improvement of disaster recovery plans, business continuity arrangements, crisis procedures and service resilience standards. Working with technology and business teams, you will identify vulnerabilities, challenge existing controls and help ensure that critical services can withstand and recover from a wide range of operational, cyber and infrastructure-related events.
You will bring substantial experience in major incident management, technical operations, service continuity or resilience within a complex environment. You should be confident leading multidisciplinary teams under pressure, communicating clearly with audiences at all levels and making sound decisions with incomplete information. Experience of incident command frameworks, problem management, disaster recovery testing, risk assessment and supplier management is highly desirable.
Strong influencing, analytical and organisational skills are essential, along with the ability to build trusted relationships and promote a culture of learning and continuous improvement. Relevant professional qualifications in IT service management, business continuity, information security or related disciplines would be advantageous.
This role offers the opportunity to shape how critical incidents are managed, strengthen operational resilience and make a meaningful contribution to reliable, secure and sustainable technology services.
