Cybersecurity Architecture Manager, Technology and Digital Services
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Cybersecurity Architecture Manager to lead the development of secure, resilient and scalable technology solutions across a complex digital services environment. This role will provide strategic direction on cybersecurity architecture, ensuring that security is embedded into technology programmes, platforms and services from inception through to delivery and continuous improvement.
You will define and maintain security architecture principles, standards, patterns and reference models, aligning them with business objectives, regulatory obligations and recognised industry good practice. Working closely with technology, digital, information governance, risk and delivery teams, you will translate complex security requirements into practical, proportionate and sustainable solutions.
Key responsibilities will include leading architectural reviews, assessing security risks and proposing appropriate mitigations; overseeing threat modelling and secure design activities; contributing to technology strategies and roadmaps; and ensuring that cloud, infrastructure, applications, data and emerging technologies are designed and operated securely. You will also support the development of security policies, contribute to assurance and governance forums, and provide expert advice during procurement, transformation and service change activities.
The successful candidate will have substantial experience in cybersecurity architecture, information security or a closely related discipline, together with a strong understanding of enterprise architecture and secure technology design. You will be confident working across cloud and on-premises environments, with knowledge of identity and access management, network security, application security, data protection, vulnerability management and security operations.
Excellent communication and influencing skills are essential, as you will engage with senior stakeholders and explain technical risks and recommendations clearly to both specialist and non-specialist audiences. Experience of leading or mentoring colleagues, managing competing priorities and embedding security-by-design principles across an organisation will be highly valued.
Relevant professional certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, SABSA, TOGAF, CCSP or equivalent experience, would be advantageous. This is an opportunity to shape a forward-looking cybersecurity capability and make a significant contribution to the safe, reliable delivery of vital digital services.
