Senior Consultant (Technology & Cyber Assurance), Technology and Transformation
We are seeking a Senior Consultant to join a Technology and Transformation team, providing trusted advice across technology risk, cyber security and assurance. This role will support clients in understanding and managing technology-related risks while helping them deliver effective, resilient and secure transformation programmes. You will work with senior stakeholders, technology leaders and delivery teams to assess current capabilities, identify areas for improvement and provide practical recommendations that support business objectives.
Your responsibilities will include planning and delivering technology and cyber assurance reviews, evaluating governance frameworks, policies, controls and operating models, and assessing risks associated with technology change, cloud adoption, information security and third-party suppliers. You will contribute to reviews of IT general controls, cyber security arrangements, data protection, resilience and regulatory compliance, clearly documenting findings and agreeing appropriate remediation actions. You will also support programme and project assurance, challenge delivery approaches where necessary, and help clients embed sustainable improvements in risk management and control effectiveness.
The successful candidate will have experience in technology risk, cyber security, IT audit, assurance or a related consulting environment, with a strong understanding of technology governance, risk and control principles. Knowledge of recognised frameworks and standards such as COBIT, NIST, ISO 27001 or ITIL would be beneficial. You will be confident analysing complex information, producing high-quality reports and presenting clear conclusions to both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver work to a high standard. Relevant professional qualifications or certifications, such as CISA, CISM, CISSP, CRISC or equivalent experience, are desirable.
