We are seeking an experienced Principal Business Analyst (Identity) to lead the analysis and delivery of complex identity and access management initiatives. This is an influential role for someone who can translate strategic objectives into practical business outcomes, improve customer and colleague experiences, and help shape secure, scalable identity services.

You will work closely with senior stakeholders, technology teams, product specialists, security professionals and operational colleagues to understand business needs and define effective solutions. Your responsibilities will include leading discovery and analysis activities, eliciting and documenting requirements, mapping current and future-state processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and developing clear business cases and recommendations.

The role will focus on identity-related capabilities such as authentication, authorisation, access governance, account lifecycle management, privileged access, identity verification and single sign-on. You will assess the impact of regulatory, security and operational requirements, ensuring that proposed changes balance user needs, risk, cost and technical feasibility. You will also support the creation of roadmaps, acceptance criteria, process models and supporting documentation, while helping delivery teams maintain a shared understanding of objectives and outcomes.

As a principal-level practitioner, you will set high standards for business analysis, coach other analysts and promote consistent ways of working. You will be confident facilitating workshops, challenging assumptions constructively, resolving ambiguity and presenting complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences. You will also contribute to governance, benefits tracking, risk management and continuous improvement across the change portfolio.

You should have substantial experience in business analysis within identity, access management, cybersecurity or a closely related environment. Strong knowledge of identity and access concepts, excellent stakeholder management skills, and experience delivering change in complex organisations are essential. Familiarity with Agile and waterfall delivery methods, process modelling, requirements management and relevant security or data protection principles would be highly desirable.

This opportunity offers the chance to influence important identity services, work across multiple disciplines and make a lasting contribution to secure, user-focused transformation.
