IAM Business Analyst

We are seeking an experienced IAM Business Analyst to support the delivery and continuous improvement of identity and access management capabilities across a complex organisation. Working closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, security specialists and external partners, you will translate business needs into clear, practical requirements that support secure and efficient access to systems, applications and data.

Your responsibilities will include gathering, analysing and documenting business and functional requirements for IAM initiatives, including joiner, mover and leaver processes, role-based access control, privileged access management, single sign-on, multi-factor authentication and access governance. You will facilitate workshops, map current and future-state processes, identify control gaps and recommend improvements that balance user experience, operational efficiency and security. You will also support the development of user stories, process documentation, acceptance criteria and test scenarios, while helping coordinate user acceptance testing and resolving issues through to completion.

The successful candidate will have proven experience as a Business Analyst within identity management, cyber security, IT service management or a similarly regulated technology environment. You should have a sound understanding of IAM concepts, access lifecycle management, authentication and authorisation technologies, and relevant governance and compliance considerations. Strong stakeholder management, communication and analytical skills are essential, along with the ability to work confidently with both technical and non-technical audiences. Experience with IAM platforms, directory services, workflow tools, service management processes and Agile delivery methods would be advantageous. You will be organised, pragmatic and comfortable managing competing priorities in a changing environment, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes and improving access controls.
