EMEA Privacy Compliance Analyst
We are seeking an EMEA Privacy Compliance Analyst to support the development, implementation and ongoing improvement of privacy compliance activities across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. This role will work closely with colleagues in legal, information security, risk, human resources, procurement and operational teams to help ensure that personal data is handled lawfully, transparently and securely.
The successful candidate will assist with monitoring compliance against relevant data protection legislation, including the UK GDPR, EU GDPR and applicable local privacy requirements. Responsibilities will include maintaining records of processing activities, supporting data protection impact assessments, reviewing privacy notices and contractual documentation, and helping to manage data subject rights requests and personal data incidents.
You will contribute to privacy risk assessments, compliance reviews and internal audits, tracking actions through to completion and escalating issues where appropriate. The role will also involve supporting the delivery of privacy training and awareness activities, preparing clear reports for stakeholders, maintaining accurate compliance records and helping to keep internal policies, procedures and guidance up to date.
We are looking for someone with experience in data protection, privacy compliance, risk, governance or a related field. You should have a practical understanding of UK and European data protection principles, along with the ability to interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into clear, workable guidance. Experience with records of processing, data protection impact assessments, third-party risk reviews or incident management would be advantageous.
Strong organisational and analytical skills are essential, as is the ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively with stakeholders at different levels. You will be confident communicating complex information in a clear and approachable way, both in writing and verbally. Attention to detail, sound judgement, discretion and a proactive approach are key to success in this position. A relevant professional qualification or membership of a recognised privacy or compliance body would be desirable.
