We are seeking a Principal Security Programme Manager and Technical Lead to shape and deliver a strategic security programme across a complex, technology-led environment. This senior role will combine programme leadership, technical assurance and stakeholder management, helping to strengthen security capabilities while enabling the delivery of innovative products and services. You will establish clear objectives, roadmaps, governance and success measures, ensuring that security initiatives are prioritised and delivered effectively against business and regulatory expectations.

You will lead significant, multi-disciplinary security programmes from discovery through to implementation and continuous improvement. Responsibilities will include coordinating engineering, architecture, risk, compliance, product and operational teams; managing dependencies, budgets, resources, risks and delivery milestones; and providing clear reporting to senior leadership. You will act as a trusted technical authority, translating complex security challenges into practical solutions and ensuring that designs and delivery plans reflect sound principles across application, cloud, infrastructure, identity, data and operational security. You will also support incident readiness, control improvement, audit activity and the development of security standards and assurance processes.

The successful candidate will bring extensive experience delivering complex security, technology or transformation programmes, together with strong technical knowledge and the credibility to engage confidently with engineers and executives alike. You will be comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on problem solving and making informed decisions in the face of ambiguity. Excellent communication, influencing and organisational skills are essential, as is experience managing senior stakeholders and presenting concise, outcome-focused updates. Relevant experience in regulated industries, modern cloud platforms, secure software development, cyber risk or security architecture would be highly valuable. A relevant professional qualification or recognised security certification is desirable, but demonstrable expertise and leadership will be equally important.
