Information Security Analyst - Vulnerability Management
We are seeking an Information Security Analyst – Vulnerability Management to support the identification, assessment and remediation of security weaknesses across a diverse technology environment. You will help reduce organisational risk by coordinating vulnerability management activities, analysing technical findings and working with infrastructure, application and engineering teams to ensure issues are addressed within agreed timescales.
Key responsibilities will include operating and maintaining vulnerability scanning and assessment tools; reviewing scan results and validating findings; prioritising vulnerabilities according to severity, exploitability, asset criticality and business impact; and producing clear reports, dashboards and management information. You will track remediation activity, challenge overdue actions and provide practical guidance to technical teams on effective mitigation. The role will also involve supporting vulnerability assessments for infrastructure, cloud services, applications, endpoints and network devices, assisting with penetration testing activities, and contributing to security standards, procedures and continuous improvement initiatives. You will monitor emerging threats and vulnerabilities, assess their relevance to the environment and support timely response to critical issues.
The successful candidate will have experience in vulnerability management, information security, cyber risk or a related technical discipline, with a good understanding of vulnerability assessment methodologies and common security frameworks. Practical experience using vulnerability scanning, security information, endpoint or configuration management tools is desirable, along with knowledge of operating systems, networks, cloud technologies and common application security risks. You should be confident interpreting technical data, communicating risk to both technical and non-technical audiences, and managing remediation activity across multiple stakeholders. Relevant certifications or qualifications in cybersecurity, such as Security+, SSCP, CEH or equivalent experience, would be advantageous. Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills are essential, together with a proactive approach, attention to detail and a commitment to protecting information assets.
