Staff Professional Services Consultant - Machine Identity
We are seeking a Staff Professional Services Consultant specialising in Machine Identity to lead the delivery of complex security and identity solutions for enterprise customers. In this senior, customer-facing role, you will act as a trusted technical advisor, helping organisations understand, manage and secure the identities of machines, applications, workloads, devices and services across modern technology environments. You will work closely with customer stakeholders, account teams and internal specialists to translate business and security requirements into practical, scalable outcomes.
Your responsibilities will include leading discovery workshops, defining technical approaches, creating implementation plans and overseeing the delivery of consulting engagements from initial design through to successful completion. You will assess machine identity lifecycles, certificate and key management practices, cryptographic controls, secrets management, automation processes and integration requirements. You will develop architectures, recommendations, technical documentation and enablement materials, while identifying opportunities to improve security, governance, operational efficiency and compliance. The role may also involve supporting solution demonstrations, contributing to proposals, mentoring consultants and establishing repeatable methodologies for complex programmes.
The successful candidate will bring substantial experience in professional services, consulting, cybersecurity, PKI, certificate management, secrets management or a related identity discipline. You should have a strong understanding of machine identity concepts and technologies, including public key infrastructure, digital certificates, cryptographic keys, automated provisioning and lifecycle management. Experience with cloud platforms, DevOps practices, APIs, infrastructure as code and enterprise security architectures is highly desirable. Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder-management skills are essential, along with the ability to explain complex technical subjects to both technical and non-technical audiences. You will be comfortable working independently on strategic engagements, influencing senior stakeholders and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams. Relevant industry certifications or equivalent practical experience are advantageous, as is a willingness to travel occasionally to support customer needs.
