Senior Machine Learning Engineer (IIoT & OT Security)
We are seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to lead the design, development and deployment of intelligent solutions for Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) environments and Operational Technology (OT) security. You will work across machine learning, industrial systems, cybersecurity and data engineering to help protect critical infrastructure while improving operational performance. The role involves collaborating with engineering, security, operations and product teams to translate complex industrial challenges into reliable, scalable and explainable machine learning capabilities.
Your responsibilities will include developing models for anomaly detection, threat identification, predictive maintenance, behavioural analytics and real-time event classification across industrial networks and connected assets. You will prepare and analyse high-volume sensor, telemetry, network and log data; engineer meaningful features; validate model performance; and establish robust processes for monitoring drift, accuracy and operational impact. You will also design secure machine learning pipelines, support deployment at the edge and in cloud environments, and contribute to MLOps practices covering version control, testing, automation, observability and lifecycle management.
The successful candidate will have substantial experience in machine learning engineering, data science or a related technical discipline, with strong Python and experience using relevant frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow or scikit-learn. Practical knowledge of time-series analysis, streaming data, distributed systems and cloud or edge deployment is expected. Experience with industrial protocols, SCADA, PLCs, industrial control systems, network security, vulnerability analysis or cybersecurity analytics would be highly valuable. You should be comfortable working with imperfect real-world data, communicating technical findings to varied audiences and making sound decisions in safety- and security-sensitive environments. A degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, cybersecurity or a related field is preferred, along with a proactive approach to collaboration, documentation and continuous improvement.
