Vulnerability Management Analyst
We are seeking a Vulnerability Management Analyst to support the identification, assessment, prioritisation, and remediation of security weaknesses across a complex technology environment. In this role, you will help reduce cyber risk by coordinating vulnerability management activities across infrastructure, applications, cloud services, endpoints, and network devices. You will work closely with security, infrastructure, development, and service teams to ensure vulnerabilities are understood, addressed, and tracked through to resolution.
Your responsibilities will include operating and maintaining vulnerability scanning tools, reviewing scan results, validating findings, and assessing vulnerabilities based on severity, exploitability, asset criticality, and business impact. You will produce clear reports and dashboards for technical and non-technical stakeholders, monitor remediation progress against agreed service levels, and escalate overdue or high-risk issues where appropriate. You will also support exception and risk-acceptance processes, contribute to vulnerability management policies and procedures, and help identify opportunities to improve scanning coverage, data quality, prioritisation, and remediation workflows. Where necessary, you may assist with incident investigations, threat-informed vulnerability assessments, and the verification of remediation through rescanning or other testing methods.
The successful candidate will have practical experience in vulnerability management, security operations, infrastructure security, or a closely related discipline. You should be familiar with common vulnerability scoring methods, security testing principles, patch management, network and cloud technologies, and vulnerability assessment platforms. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to interpret technical findings and communicate meaningful recommendations to varied audiences. Experience with scripting, automation, reporting tools, ticketing platforms, or risk-based prioritisation will be advantageous. Relevant professional certifications or formal training in cybersecurity are desirable, but equal consideration will be given to candidates who can demonstrate strong practical capability, attention to detail, sound judgement, and a proactive approach to improving security outcomes.
