Vulnerability Management Analyst
We are seeking a Vulnerability Management Analyst to support the identification, assessment, prioritisation and remediation of security vulnerabilities across a diverse technology environment. In this role, you will work closely with infrastructure, application development, cloud, networking and service management teams to reduce organisational exposure and strengthen overall cyber resilience. You will help maintain accurate vulnerability information, provide clear risk-based insight and support timely remediation of issues across on-premises and cloud-based systems.
Key responsibilities include operating and monitoring vulnerability scanning tools, validating scan results, investigating false positives and correlating findings with asset criticality and business impact. You will analyse vulnerability data, assign appropriate risk ratings, track remediation progress and produce regular dashboards and reports for technical and senior stakeholders. The role will also involve coordinating vulnerability management activities, supporting patch and configuration remediation, escalating overdue or critical findings, and contributing to vulnerability disclosure and exception processes. You may assist with penetration testing activities, threat intelligence reviews, security assessments and the development of procedures, standards and guidance.
The successful candidate will have practical experience in vulnerability management, security operations, systems administration or a related information security function. You should be comfortable working with vulnerability scanning platforms and interpreting security findings across operating systems, networks, applications and cloud services. Knowledge of common vulnerabilities and exposures, CVSS, remediation practices, security controls and risk management principles is essential. Strong analytical, communication and organisational skills are required, along with the ability to explain technical risks to both technical and non-technical audiences. Relevant certifications or qualifications in cybersecurity, information technology or a related discipline are desirable. A proactive approach, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities will be important in this role.
