SOC Analyst- Remote
Are you passionate about cybersecurity and eager to play a critical role in defending organizations against cyber threats? As a SOC Analyst (Remote), you will monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents across a diverse range of environments. You will leverage your analytical skills and technical expertise to identify suspicious activities, investigate alerts, and implement mitigation strategies to safeguard information assets. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere while collaborating with a dynamic and supportive security team.
Your key responsibilities will include monitoring security event data from various sources such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint detection tools. You will analyze and triage security alerts, escalate incidents as needed, and contribute to incident response efforts. The role also involves conducting root cause analysis, documenting findings, and providing recommendations for remediation. You will regularly update and maintain incident records, assist in threat intelligence gathering, and support the continuous improvement of security operations processes. Participation in regular threat hunting exercises and staying current with emerging cyber threats will be essential.
The ideal candidate should have experience with security monitoring tools and technologies, a strong understanding of network protocols and cybersecurity concepts, and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with incident response methodologies and frameworks is highly desirable. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required, as you will be preparing reports and collaborating with team members. Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or GCIA are a plus.
