We are seeking a Senior SOC Analyst to join a security operations team responsible for monitoring, investigating, and responding to cyber threats across a complex technology environment. In this role, you will provide expert analysis of security alerts, identify indicators of compromise, and help protect critical systems, applications, networks, and data. You will work closely with colleagues across cyber security, infrastructure, engineering, and risk teams to ensure incidents are managed efficiently and security controls remain effective.

Your responsibilities will include triaging and investigating alerts from SIEM, EDR, network monitoring, identity, cloud, and vulnerability management platforms. You will conduct advanced threat hunting, analyse malware and suspicious activity, correlate events from multiple sources, and determine the scope and impact of potential incidents. You will lead or support incident response activities, including containment, eradication, recovery, and post-incident reviews, while maintaining accurate records and producing clear technical reports. The role will also involve developing and refining detection rules, playbooks, and monitoring procedures; identifying opportunities to improve automation; contributing to threat intelligence activities; and coaching less experienced analysts. You may participate in an out-of-hours or on-call rotation as required.

Applicants should have substantial experience in a security operations, incident response, or threat detection role, with a strong understanding of security monitoring principles and the cyber attack lifecycle. Experience with SIEM and EDR technologies, log analysis, digital forensics, vulnerability management, and cloud security is expected. You should be comfortable working with operating systems, networking concepts, authentication technologies, and common attack techniques. Scripting experience using tools such as PowerShell or Python would be beneficial, as would familiarity with frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK. Relevant professional certifications are advantageous. Strong analytical, communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills are essential, together with the ability to remain calm and make sound decisions during high-priority incidents.
