CIM - Cyber Incident Manager
We are seeking a skilled CIM – Cyber Incident Manager to lead the effective response to cyber security incidents and help protect critical systems, services and information. This is an opportunity to join a collaborative security function where you will coordinate activity across technical teams, business stakeholders and external partners during high-impact events.
You will manage the full incident lifecycle, from initial triage and classification through containment, eradication, recovery and post-incident review. Responsibilities will include assessing alerts and reported incidents, establishing appropriate response teams, maintaining accurate incident records, and ensuring timely, clear communication to stakeholders. You will also provide regular updates on incident status, risks, decisions and recommended actions, particularly during major or business-critical events.
The role will involve developing and improving incident response procedures, playbooks and escalation processes, as well as supporting simulations and exercises to test organisational readiness. You will lead lessons-learned reviews, identify root causes and track remedial actions through to completion. The successful candidate will work closely with security operations, infrastructure, applications, risk, compliance and business continuity teams to strengthen resilience and reduce the likelihood and impact of future incidents.
Applicants should have proven experience in cyber incident management, security operations or a related operational security role. You will have a good understanding of incident response methodologies, threat management, vulnerability concepts and common attack techniques. Experience of working with SIEM, SOAR, EDR or case management platforms would be advantageous, alongside familiarity with recognised security frameworks and data protection requirements.
Strong communication, leadership and decision-making skills are essential. You will be comfortable working under pressure, managing competing priorities and communicating complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences. A structured, calm and collaborative approach is required, together with a commitment to continuous improvement and maintaining high standards of confidentiality and professionalism.
